admin A party backdrop is not complete without some extra decorations on it. While we can buy readymade items, sometimes it is much better & cheaper to make these decorations at home. And the best part about it is that you can make it according to your choice. Today I am going to tell you about my latest design party streamer made of crepe paper.
This is a triple shade garland streamer which you can make with any color you want. A perfect birthday party decoration to complete your party backdrop. You can use these for any occasion. By using a combination of dark & light colors with white, we will be able to make our streamer look shaded.
For this DIY we will be needing:

Method:
- Take dark & light crepe papers in different colors & also white crepe paper.
- Take the 3 colors you want to use to make the shades. For example, you want to make a blue shaded streamer, then take crepe paper in the colors dark blue, light blue & white. Like this, do so with whichever color you want & make color combinations.
- Make strips from your crepe paper of about 4 cm wide & about 40 cm in length. You can use longer or shorter according to your choice.
- Fold the strips & make small cuts in them on both open sides. The cuts should be small cuts after each half cm & only 1 cm deep.
- Open the crepe paper strips and place them in length. With that I mean, place the crepe paper strips in front of you on a table with the 4 cm horizontal and the 40 cm vertical. Like the example I mentioned earlier, if your streamer will be shaded blue, then place the dark blue strip, the light blue strip and the white strip next to each other.
- Put double sided tape on the bottom part of the dark blue strip & paste the light blue strip on the dark blue color.
- Now put double sided tape on the lower part of the light blue strip & paste the white color crepe paper on it.
- And now your streamer is ready for use.
- Curl your streamer according to your choice & paste it on the wall with tape.
