For many party decorations we make at home, one of the most important questions we often ask ourself is: How to paste balloons on wall & how to stick balloons on ceiling without helium? Today I am going to tell you about 7 different ideas on how to paste your balloons on a wall. At the bottom of this post I am also adding some important info you all must know & a detailed list of the items used. So make sure you read that info as well before decorating.

So to paste our balloons, first of all we need to inflate our balloons & keep them ready.

  1. The first way is to use double sided tape. Because it is sticky on both sides, you will be able to paste your decoration easily on the wall. All you have to do for this is to take a piece of doublesided tape. Cut out the piece you need & paste it on the wall. Press it firmly on the wall. Then place your balloon on the tape & puch it till balloon attaches.
  2. The second way is to use masking tape. masking tape is paper tape which you can easily tear or cut to your desired size. make sure the size is bigger than you need. Fold the 2 corners of the masking tape over & paste one corner on top of the other. While doing so make sure that the sticky part is facing for outside. After folding it over press it and fold it into place. By doing so you have created double sided tape from the masking tape. Place this tape on the wall & place your balloon on it.
  3. The third way is a bit simular to the second, but this time we will be using regular transparant tape. The normal tape we use for our office & school. Fold this tape the same way as mentioned in the second method, making sure that the sticky side is facing for outside & fold the tape over. Use this on the wall & paste your balloon on this.
  4. The fourth method is to use Glue Dots. These are sticky balloon dots which come in small circles. simply paste the sicky side with the circle on the wall. Press firmly & remove the cover from the circle. You will be left with the glue dot pasted on the wall. Now paste your balloon on this dot. If you want you can use more than one glue dot for extra safety.
  5. The fifth way is to use adhesive putty, also known as poster gum. This come in small squares. Take one square & mash it with your fingers or palm till it becomes sticky. Thin this out by mashing it & then stick it to the wall. paste your balloon on top of this.
  6. The sixth way is for those who are afraid of using glue dots on their wall. This because you have wallpaper or a painted wall which you don’t want to damage. If you are one of those people then you can try this method. Take a piece of masking tape & place a glue dot on the non-sticky side. The masking tape is a bit more wall friendly than the glue dot. Place the sticky side of the masking tape on the wall with the glue dot facing you. Press the masking tape firmly on the wall & then paste your balloon on the glue dot.
  7. The seventh way is a bit simular to the sixth, but now instead of glue dots we will be using double sided tape. Because the masking tape is not that damaging as double sided tape is, you might like this option. Take a piece of masking tape & place a piece of double sided tape on the non-sticky side of the masking tape. Place the sticky side of the masking tape on the wall with the double sided tape facing you. Press the masking tape firmly on the wall & then paste your balloon on the double sided tape.

PS: Before you use any of these ideas, you can try & test these on a small corner of your wall. Preferably on the lower corner of your wall. Make sure you try it in a corner to see if it works. Paste & then remove the tape carefully & easily. If you see any damages then try any other method. As you all can see in my video, my wall is rough surfaced & is painted & there were no damages on it after removing the balloons. So make sure to test it in a corner to see if the method you choose is suitable.

Also if you have wallpaper or painted wall of which you are afraid that it may damage, then avoid using the glue dot & doublesided tape on it. There are 7 different methods, you can try any out of the other methods.
